Femme Works Solutions LLC opened its doors in 2023 with a narrow, deliberate focus: mold and asbestos. Not general contracting, not fire or water cleanup, just the two problems that hide inside walls, attics, and basements long after the original leak or renovation is forgotten. That narrowness is the point. A crew that only deals with mold colonies and asbestos-containing materials sees enough of each to recognize what’s routine and what needs a slower, more careful approach.

What we do

Most calls start the same way: a musty smell that won’t go away, a water stain that keeps spreading, or a 1960s basement renovation that just turned up suspect floor tile. We’re on call around the clock, because mold problems rarely wait for business hours and a homeowner who just found black growth behind a washing machine wants an answer that night, not a callback next week.

A good share of the work runs through insurance. That means documenting the damage the way an adjuster expects it documented: photos before anything is touched, moisture readings, a clear scope of what’s affected and why. We handle that paperwork alongside the physical work, because the last thing someone dealing with a mold problem needs is to also become their own claims adjuster.

The jobs themselves range from a quick inspection and air sample to confirm what’s growing, to full containment and remediation of a flooded crawlspace, to coordinating safe removal of asbestos insulation or tile ahead of a renovation. Each one gets handled on its own terms. No two basements fail the same way.

Our certifications and licensure

Our team is OSHA trained, which governs how we handle job-site safety, containment, and exposure risk on every asbestos and mold project. We’re also EPA Lead-Safe Certified, a federal credential required for any firm disturbing building materials in homes built before 1978, which describes a large share of the housing stock across this part of Massachusetts. Femme Works Solutions holds Massachusetts license #AC1123. None of this is decoration. It’s the baseline for doing work that involves hazardous materials inside someone’s home.

Where we work

We work out of North Andover and cover Lowell, Lawrence, Haverhill, Methuen, Andover, Tewksbury, Reading, and Boxford. It’s a mix of mill-era triple-deckers, mid-century ranches, and newer builds pressed up against the Merrimack River and its tributaries, which means wide variation in how moisture moves through a structure and how old the materials inside it actually are. Knowing the difference between a 1920s plaster wall and a 1990s drywall assembly matters when you’re figuring out where mold is actually living, not just where it’s visible.
